Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them.

Oh, Eternal God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, whom it pleased to save the fallen mankind from the thrall of hell through the incarnation, life, passion and death of Your only begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ, we beseech Thee that through the inestimable merits of the wounds of the same Lord Jesus Christ, during His passion and death, it may please Your Eternal will to purge and purify the Souls patiently suffering in Purgatory and send them to Heaven.
This we ask of You through Jesus Christ, Your son, with whom You live and reign in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.

*DAILY PRAYER FOR SOULS IN PURGATORY*
Oh, Eternal Father, we humbly offer up to You for the relief and release of Souls languishing in the flames of Purgatory, for the conversion of sinners and the propagation of the Purgatorian movement, the merits of the incarnation, life, passion and death together with the inestimable wounds on the body of Your divine son Jesus Christ during His passion and death, the merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the merits of the immaculate heart of Mary and of Her sinless life, the merits of the lives of all Your saints and the honour, glory and praise rendered to You daily by the nine choirs of Your Angels, the merits of the Masses being celebrated throughout the world today, all the Holy Communions worthily received and all the good prayers being offered daily by the faithful, the merits of the daily activities, joys and sufferings of all Your children throughout the world in union with the satisfaction which Your Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church gives You.
This we offer through Christ our Lord.

CLOSING PRAYER
O most gentle Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive Souls in Purgatory, have mercy on the Souls of our departed friends and relatives especially those who were near and dear to us in life (mention their names)
Bring them far from the shadow of exile to the bright home of Heaven where, we trust, Thou and Thy Blessed Mother have woven for them a crown of unfading bliss. Amen
